Hello, I am Lindsay.
I am a registered acupuncturist and a health nut. I am passionate about everything health – from what is in our kitchen to what we use in the bathroom, and everything in between. My ambition is to help busy people attain their health goals by living a more natural and holistic life.
I know what it is like to suffer from symptoms of poor health. After years of what I thought was a healthy active life, I suddenly felt like I had zero energy. I had a near impossible time falling asleep without melatonin and needed to drag myself out of bed in the morning. I felt constant intense sugar cravings, suffered severe PMS, and was unable to focus and concentrate.
I felt like I was constantly riding an emotional roller coaster (my poor husband!), I was bloated and uncomfortable all day, and felt so embarrassed about my worsening complexion, as I had developed rosacea.
I have been there, I understand.
I had always considered myself to be a very health conscious person, so why was I feeling so crappy?
I needed the answer to this question, so I took action. I turned into a research-aholic. I had to figure out what I was doing wrong. I was surprised to discover that my diet and lifestyle were directly contributing to how terrible I felt. Although I thought I had been eating a healthy diet, I was not eating the foods that were right for my body. My stress load was through the roof, I was exercising way too heavily, and I was not sleeping well, and I was using drug store chemical-filled beauty products.
Day-by-day, I turned my health around. I changed my diet to one that worked for me, started managing my stress, cut back on the excessive exercise, improved my sleep hygiene and gave myself a bathroom cupboard makeover.
After making these changes, everything changed for me. I started to fall asleep within minutes of my head hitting the pillow. I started to spring out of bed each morning. I didn’t get PMS or sugar cravings any longer. I was able to focus and concentrate on my daily tasks. I felt more emotionally stable and emotionally available than I ever had before. My bloating nearly disappeared and my rosacea cleared right up. I made all these changes just by changing my diet and lifestyle.
A year and a half ago, my husband and I decided we wanted to expand our little family. I started researching the heck out of natural fertility for both women and men. I not only wanted to get pregnant at age 36, but I wanted to have a healthy baby! I applied what I had learned for 6 months prior to trying for a baby. All the work paid off because we conceived the first month! Not only that, we had a healthy little boy this year!
I am happier and healthier now than I have ever been. I strive to help others regain their health and vibrancy, just like I have!
